Tingsha Kennel is located in southwestern Rhode Island in Washington County. We are just a few minutes off Interstate 95 and bordering the state of Connecticut on Route 138. This is a rural area with a quiet, friendly feel, a New England small town.

The property is situated on several acres, bordered by protected forest land. This allows for privacy, room to run with several fenced in areas. It is an ideal place to raise and own several dogs. There is an indoor kennel with all the facilities for proper care.

To say they are spoiled would be an understatement! They are an enormous part of my life. I keep only a few Tibetan Terriers for breeding, showing and most importantly companionship.

As a hobby breeder, I am dedicated to the success of the breed; foremost is the preservation of quality in type and temperament, its uniqueness as a breed and good health.

As this breed becomes evermore popular it is paramount that every breeder undertake a serious program in the protection for these wonderful dogs.

Here at Tingsha Kennel we are actively involved with the Tibetan Terrier Club of America. Our dogs are shown in conformation until they obtain their championship title. Once this is accomplished they are then screened for hereditary conditions and are OFA and CERF approved. Only after these steps are taken will they be considered and then used in a breeding program.

Dogs choosen for breeding are of excellent type and quality – having met these requirements – the success in producing puppies with the same strengths are assured. Their early development is watched over for 10 weeks almost continuously as it is impossible to stay away from them!! They are well socialized and home raised with much activity in the household. I have children coming by daily and am home full-time during this critical phase.
